Kia will showcase its new Sorento via a Facebook livestream on Thursday, 19 March, the digital reveal comes in the wake of the growing risks associated with the the spread of the coronavirus.
The new Sorento will be fully revealed online in European specification, with local specification details to follow closer to the launch of the car in South Africa.
The online event will start at 1:30pm South African time on Thursday, 19 March, broadcast live on the Kia Facebook page: @kiamotorsworldwide.
The event is interactive with viewers able to pose questions to the company's experts and Facebook users submitting questions have the chance to win one of 60 six-month print and digital subscriptions to Time magazine. Winners will be picked based on the quality of their questions.
The fourth-generation Sorento embodies 'sharper lines, high-tech details, and elongated proportions' on its exterior, while inside Kia says the cabin introduces premium-quality materials, cutting-edge infotainment technologies.
Hybrid model confirmed
The new model has three rows of seating and offers the company's new 'Smartstream' electrified powertrains, representing the first time that hybrid power has featured in the Sorento line-up.
