Jaguar's fastest F-Type in SA: New SVR price revealed

Johannesburg - The new F-Type SVR, the first SVR-baged Jaguar, is set to arrive in South Africa later in August 2016.

What makes it special, least compared to the R? Jaguar claims its fastest F-Type can rocket to 0-100km/h in just 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 322km/h.

The all-wheel drive F-Type SVR Coupe is powered by a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 capable of 423kW/700Nm. Its eight-speed transmission gains a new calibration.

'Jaguar's most powerful production road car'

The F-Type SVR goes on sale locally in August 2016 with indicative pricing set at R2 134 100. Local customers can order their new F-Type SVR ahead of the 2016 Geneva auto show.

Building on the F-Type R, the SVR features an enhanced aerodynamics package comprising of front bumper and splitter, flat underfloor, carbon-fibred active rear wing that reduces lift and drag.
