The hot hatch segment is one of the most fiercely contested... on paper.

We've rounded up three of South Africa's performance hatches: Volkswagen Golf R, Honda Civic Type R and Renault's Megane RS to find out which one YOU like best.  

The trio of hot hatches we've selected are in the mid-range power stakes, they're more powerful than the VW Polo GTi and Clio RS and less powerful than the Audi RS 3, BMW 140i and Mercedes-AMG A 45.
