Cape Town - The Toyota Hilux Raider Black 2.8 is the most recent special edition bakkie to be launched in South Africa.
It's only available with the flagship diesel engine (2.8-litre turbodiesel) in the range developing 130kW/450Nm. Our test unit, a 4x4 model, was fitted with the manual retails for R585 300.
What makes it special?
But how does one tell it apart from other particular model features? Well, here are a list of all the changes: black grille, black front bumper, colour-coded over-fenders, colour-coded door handles and mirrors, smart-looking 18" 'tri-spoke' wheels and a gloss black roof.

Other notable features include what Toyota calls a black rear styling bar and a black tonneau cover.
Inside, there are black leather seats (electrically-powered for the driver) and 'carbon fibre' panel accents.
