FCA to unveil sporty new Fiat model at the Festival of Motoring

An all-new Fiat 500S model will be unveiled at the Festival of Motoring which will be held at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit this weekend, from Friday 31 August until Sunday 2 September 2018.

Adrenaline-junkies who prefer hatches that turn the hot and fun factor dialled up to 11, can look forward to the debut of the 500S at the show.

Something special

Sporty, sassy, seductive, and sociable. There's always something special hiding inside a 500 that boasts a race-inspired spoiler, mags, Red Brake Calipers and sports steering wheel.

WATCH: The Fiat 500 Convertible is not your average city car

Further enhancing its visual appeal is its gorgeous Italian Blue metallic paintwork that means drivers will certainly not go unnoticed on South Africa's roads and parking lots.

Beyond its killer looks, the 500S sports enough power to back up its sporty looks. Under the bonnet resides an 875cc two-cylinder powerplant that churns out 77kW at 5500rpm and 145Nm of torque at just 2000rpm.

This is enough for the car to hit 100km/h in ten seconds and go on to achieve a top speed of 190km/h. All this, while keeping fuel usage down to a mere 4.2 litres per 100km. Fiat fans should get ready to hit the road and track in this little sports car.

Classic Italians on show

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Fiat Abarth 595, Sexy Spider 124, and Alfa Romeo Giulia QV will also be taking to the track, demonstrating the show-stopping appeal of these incredible Italian cars.

The Stelvio is the ideal car for those who won't settle for less, offering the versatility of an SUV with the performance and style of the latest benchmark in sports sedans.

It draws inspiration from the legendary mountain pass linking Italy to Switzerland, with 48 hairpins in quick succession.

The 595 is a captivating, dynamic and bold hatchback. All its details are designed for performance, boasting a 132kw output that provides extra power for a phenomenal drive experience.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) South Africa's new CEO Graham Eagle, is looking forward to seeing his new charges in action as this event is certainly one of the ultimate South African consumer motoring exhibitions.

"We are incredibly proud to be showcasing our brands at this year's largest and most exciting motoring and lifestyle event" Eagle said ahead of the opening of the festival.
