Mahindra South Africa is expanding its local KUV100 Nxt range with the introduction of a panel van model. The new car, retailing from R174 999, is based on the K2+ model and will offer prospective buyers the peace of mind of its best-in-class low maintenance and repair costs, as validated in the annual AA Kinsey Report.
Called the #XPREZ, the KUV100 has been converted at Mahindra's Special Fitment Centre in Gauteng. The changes include a flat load area in place of the rear bench and two cargo nets as standard. A safety barrier, cut from a steel mesh, separates the two front passengers from the cargo area, while a fire extinguisher has been added as standard equipment.
Two front airbags and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) are standard.

Size matters
The #XPREZ can haul up to 350kg around while offering 1350L of cargo space. Mahindra says that the side doors and 'very wide' rear hatch door makes loading cargo an easier task. The side and rear windows have been enforced to keep prying eyes away, with additional metal barriers fitted to the inside of these windows.
Other standard features include power steering and air conditioning, as well as a radio and central locking.
Powering the car is a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 61kW and 115Nm. Mahindra claims a fuel return of 5.9-litres/100km.

Its SUV design and 170 mm ground clearance mean that it can comfortably transport a large volume of packages, while not being restricted to any road condition."
