Cape Town - The arrival of Renault’s fun and funky Captur Sunset Limited Edition Dynamique spearheads the introduction of a 1.5 dCi Turbo Diesel engine option to the range.

The 1.5 dCi turbo diesel engine is capable of 66kW/220Nm. Fuel consumption is rated at 3.6 litres/100km with emissions of 95gm/km. ECO mode function is available at the push of a button and electronically modifies the engine’s response to automatically optimise fuel consumption.

Sales of the Renault Captur Sunset Limited Edition 1.5 dCi 66kW Turbo Dynamique (diesel) commence mid-August 2016.

Orange is the new black

What sets it apart from its standard siblings is its distinctive paintjob - Sunset Orange. The outside is Diamond Black and is accentuated by orange roof, side-mirrors as well as orange trim along the front, sides and rear.

The orange theme continues inside, with vents, centre console, door speaker surrounds and parts of the steering wheel benifiting from the limited edition colour scheme. Carbon black and orange is also used for the seat covers.

In addition to its LEDs, the Renault Captur 1.5 litre dCi also features cornering fog-light activation (under specific conditions) and 17” alloys.

A tyre pressure sensor is standard on all Dynamique models.

Smart technology that crosses over into the safety arena is the cruise control and speed limiter.

In terms of safety, the Captur boasts Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Electronic Stability Program, Hill Start Assist (HSA), front airbags, head/chest side bags, seat belts with pretensioners and force limiters (front seats), anti-submarining front seats, anti-whiplash head rests and force limiter function (rear side seats). Three ISOFIX 3-point child seat anchor seat attachments are fitted to the front passenger and rear side seats.
