On June 24, 2020, Alfa Romeo will celebrate a very special milestone. Known in Italy as the Biscione, Alfa will celebrate 110 years of existence, which will include the celebration of its sporting success, technical innovations, and, lest not forget, their beautiful cars.

In the build-up to the birthday, Alfa Romeo will tell a series of stories that will focus on a variety of topics. The first story will begin at the very beginning with the brand’s first car: the 24 HP from 1910.

Designed by Giuseppe Merosu, the 24 HP was penned even before the automaker was first registered. Merosu drew the car at his home on Milan’s Via Cappuccio, and from there the floodgates were opened to a whole new world of beautiful cars.

On June 24, 1910, shortly after the 24 HP’s design process, Alfa Romeo was first registered under the A.L.F.A. Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili - Lombard Automobile Factory, Inc.).

An appealing story

Alfa Romeo says that the weekly stories it will be rolling out will not only appeal to Alfa aficionados, but motoring enthusiasts as a whole.

Alfa Romeo said in a statement: "The 'Storie Alfa Romeo' will appeal to Alfa Romeo and motoring enthusiasts alike, the brand praised not only by fans, but also by anyone who appreciates beauty, innovation and performance. Intertwined with the best of Italy, the history of Alfa Romeo is an inspiring tale of character, ingenuity, courage and triumph."
