Zegna Ghibli is Maserati's show special

PARIS, France – Maserati has unveiled the Ghibli Ermenegildo Zegna (it's an Italian men's fashion house) Edition concept for the 2014 Paris auto show.

Maserati CEO Harald Wester said: “The Ghibli Ermenegildo Zegna Edition is still ‘conceptual’ but absolutely feasible in terms of content and has the possibility of further colour combinations.

“It's a demonstration of the commitment with which Maserati and Ermenegildo Zegna continue to think of an automotive product outside the classical schemes, in addition to confirming the foresight and bond that unites us.”

'NATURAL EVOLUTION'

CEO of the Ermenegildo Zegna group, Gildo Zegna, said: “The collaboration with Maserati, which began a year ago with the launch of the Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition, now has its own natural evolution with the world debut of the Ghibli Ermenegildo Zegna Edition concept, with an innovative layout compared to the current Ghibli range due to the colour choices and materials."

The concept is based on the Ghibli S Q4.

Zegna added: “Maserati and Zegna are two companies that share an historic industrial tradition and it is a source of pride for me that this partnership can celebrate the excellence of 'Made in Italy'.”

The car is painted in a new tri-layer colour and the 20" wheels are also in a special colour, says the company. The cabin uses the finest leather and Zegna yarns dominate, with the typical inevitable details of the two brands.

Another show-stopper is the Maserati Alfieri, recently winner of the Design Award for Concept Cars & Prototypes.

Also displayed on the stand are two Quattroportes - the most powerful GTS and exclusive Diesel - as well as other Ghiblis, S Q4 and Diesel versions and  the sporty GranTurismo MC Stradale and GranCabrio MC Centennial Editions.
