LONDON, England – The classic British sports car scene is set for a bit of a makeover with the launch of an all-new luxury automotive brand in April 2014.
British businessman and car enthusiast David Brown has created a brand in his own name – David Brown Automotive – to deliver his vision of a new take on the British sports car.
According to a media release, Brown has sought out key industry talent to create the car, among them Alan Mobberley (chief designer at Land Rover from 1985-2005) and automotive engineering experts Envisage Group which has developed the car for production.

The car is completely new, apparently nothing seen on any other model. In fact information on the car seems to be top secret, too. Visit David Brown's automotive website and you'll find nothing except an opportunity to sign up for more information on the car closer to its launch date.
Brown has commissioned a completely original exterior and interior design and sourced bespoke British suppliers for trim and materials. The car also has been thoroughly engineered for low-volume production to ensure the latest manufacturing techniques with traditional craftsmanship.
Brown said: “I wanted all the impact and style of a classic sports-car but with modern capabilities and conveniences. This is what I want in a car but it’s not something anybody really offers - so I’ve created it myself. I thought that if I’m looking for this then others might be too.”
All that Brown would say about the car was that “it will combine a classically inspired exterior design with the latest in performance, dynamics, technology, comfort and refinement".
For now the car is being called “Project Judi” and it will be revealed in April 2014. It will, Brown adds, be sold in strictly limited numbers after its world launch.
