Very keen pricing for Suzukis

Suzuki is about to relaunch cars in South Africa and we have pricing info. The media launch of the new Suzukis is taking place on Tuesday, and Wheels24 will give driving impressions on Wednesday.

The first Suzukis to arrive in South Africa are the Swift and SX4. The Swift is a small five-door hatchback aimed to compete against cars such as the Toyota Yaris, VW Polo and Mazda2.

Three Swift models will be offered at launch, all powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine. All Swift models are covered by a three-year/100 000 km warranty and a four-year/60 000 km service plan

The SX4 model is a crossover family wagon which will rival the Nissan Qashqai. It is offered in a single, high-specification derivative, but there is a choice of a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.

Under the SX4's bonnet is a 107kW 2.0-litre petrol engine. 

A big selling point for the SX4 will be its six-year/90 000 km service plan - the warranty is three-year/100 000 km.
