Suzuki Auto South Africa has upgraded the Summit version of its Grand Vitara compact SUV.
The automaker says the distinctive grille has been updated and finished in dark silver, while the roof rails are now silver. The 18" alloy rims also have a new dark-silver finish and Suzuki has added silver to the list of available paint colours.
UPGRADED CABIN
The interior features champagne gold trim accents for the steering-wheel, instrument borders, air vent bezels and gearshifter, while the door panels feature cloth-accented trim with prominent stitching. The seat upholstery has also been updated to feature cloth upholstery with suede-enhanced bolsters.
The Grand Vitara Summit remains mechanically unchanged: a 2.4 four-cylinder petrol engine and either five-speed manual or a four-speed auto transmission.
Rated power is 122kW at 6000rpm and 225Nm at 4000rpm. Suzuki says the the car is unique in this segment, being equipped with all-wheel drive and low-range.
Highlights include remote central locking, aircon, power-assisted steering, power windows, a four-speaker CD sound system and cruise control.
Safety items include two front airbags, inertia reel seat belts, head restraints, and anti-lock brakes with electronic pressure distribution and emergency braking assistance.
The four-model Suzuki Grand Vitara range is covered by a three-year or 100 000km warranty and a six-year or 90 000km service plan is standard.
