TOKYO, Japan - Subaru's Levorg concept will have its world premiere at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show that will open on November 20 2013.
"The Levorg," the automaker says, "hints at a new vehicle currently under development for market launch in Japan in 2014".
The name, Subaru says, comes from a combination of the words ‘Legacy’, ‘Revolution’ and ‘Touring’ and the concept would "blend the practicality of a tourer with the stylish design and feel of a sports car".
NEW ENGINE
The car will have an all-new 1.6 horizontally opposed Boxer engine with turbocharged direct fuel injection turbo "designed to offer smooth performance and greater environmental efficiency".
The engine itself will also be on display.
The Levorg sports tourer prototype will be joined on the Subaru stand by another new concept vehicle, the Crossover 7 concept, a seven-seat SUV "designed to combine the rigours of urban family use with true off-road driving capability".
