SsangYong will unveil its XLV (eXciting smart Lifestyle Vehicle) concept at the 2014 Geneva International Auto Show in March.
The XLV is a B-segment SUV that generates significantly less CO2 by using a mild hybrid system which combines a 1.6 diesel engine with a lithium-ion battery pack-powered electric motor.
The XLV is 290mm longer than the XIV-1 concept that preceded it and which Wheels24 featured in 2011.
INNOVATIVE DESIGN
It can seat seven in an innovative 2+2+2+1 arrangement; the single seat slides between the second and third rows when not needed.
SsangYong said the XLV would showcase a new design philosophy to "project a rhythmical and dynamic exterior design" intended to appeal to "the smart user who is active and seeks individuality and practicality".
