Subaru bolsters its local XV range with a new two-litre six-speed manual as well as a CVT option. The new models have been based on the original XV which is powered by a two-litre four-cylinder normally-aspirated Boxer petrol and the automaker's symmetrical all-wheel drive system.
The two-litre engine kicks out 110kW/196Nm with fuel consumption rated at a claimed 7.9-litres/100km on the manual and 8-litres/100km on the CVT.
NO COMPROMISE
Standard kit on the lower specced models include auto headlights, front fog lights, colour-coded door handles, 17” dual-tone alloys, auto air conditioning with dust filter, sports fabric seats and multi-function steering wheel. Bluetooth, USB, aux, cruise control and paddle shifts are standard on the CVT model while a gear-shift indicator is available for the manual.
The top-of-the-range 2.0i-S Lineartroni trumps with HID headlights, chromed detailing, a sunroof, leather steering wheel and gear lever, aluminium pedals, dual-zone auto climate control and the multi-function display (MFD) with reversing camera.
Options across the range include leather upholstery and satellite navigation.
