Refreshed SLK in SA: New engines, more power

Mercedes-Benz has refreshed its local SLK roadster line-up with new new engines and transmissions in 2015. Most of the changes to its iconic two-seater are located under the bonnet.

In terms of power the SLK gains two four-cyclinder variants, SLK 200 and 300, of the automaker's 1991cc turbopetrol.

The SLK 200 is capable of 135kW/300Nm (up by 30Nm compared to the outgoing unit) while the new SLK 300 (replaces the SLK 250) is rated at 180kW/370Nm (improved by 30kW/60Nm).
