Pricing! BMW's 195kW hatch

The 130i should be arriving at dealers soon and it promises to be one of the hottest hatches on the road.

This sizzling BMW is to rival cars such as the Audi A3 3.2 V6, however, it could even steal some sales from VW's popular GTI as the car's pricing is competitive.

The standard 130i retails for R278 500 and the 130i Sport has a price tag of R312 500.

The range-topping Sport model comes with features such as leather trim, sport seats, climate control, sports suspension, multi-function steering wheel and cruise control.

Of course there are a host of optional features to choose from too.

But the 130i is more about power and under the bonnet is BMW's 3-litre straight-six engine. This unit develops 195 kW at 6 600 r/min and torque is a whopping 315 Nm available between 2 500 and 4 000 r/min.

According to BMW the 130i will rocket from 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and its top speed is limited to 250 km/h.
