Fiat has revised its Palio range by adding Active derivatives to the line-up. Slotting in above the entry-level GO! models, the new five-door Active takes over the value reigns from the locally manufactured Palio Vibe.
The Palio Active, which is imported, comes in three variants (exclusively five-door configuration):
- Without power steering or air conditioning
- With power steering
- With power steering and air conditioning
According to Fiat the Palio Active come with 14-inch steel wheels, a digital clock, silver-finish trim accents for the centre console and dashboard, redesigned seats and door compartment pockets
With a recommended price tag of R94 300 for the Palio Active with power steering and air conditioning, the saving is close to R8 000 over the old Palio Vibe five-door.
The base model (without power steering or air conditioning) sells for R86 300 and the Active with power steering retails for R87 300.
All models are powered by a 1.2-litre eight-valve engine with a power output of 54 kW at 6 000 r/min, along with 102 Nm of torque at 3 250 r/min.
Fiat claims a combined fuel consumption of 7.8 litres per 100km.
