Nissan previews Geneva line-up

GENEVA, Switzerland - Nissan will showcase its latest models and concepts at the 2014 Geneva International Auto Show in March 6 - 16.

The Japanese automaker will debut its new X-Trail, Qashqai, GT-R Nismo and an exciting concept dubbed the BladeGlider.

 X-Trail:

The X-Trail combines 4x4 capabilities with a host of design and engineering features that have become hallmarks of Nissan crossovers.

The model introduces bi-LEDs, Nissan's safety shield and the automaker's third-generation NissanConnect navigation and infotainment system.

The X-Trail also offers improved practicality, with a new seating layout, sliding second row of seats and third row of seats with improved leg and headroom.

GT-R Nismo:

Nissan said the GT-R Nismo was honed to perfection at the Nurburgring in Germany. The GT-R Nismo is powered by a 442kW 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6, modified by Nismo engineers, combined with a revised aerodynamic package that generates an additional 100kg of down force.

Nissan BladeGlider concept

The BladeGlider concept challenges conventional thinking on performance car design as is inspired by the ZEOD RC Zero Emission on Demand race car.

Featuring perfect weight distribution thanks to the placement of the lithium ion battery-pack and in-board motors between the rear wheels, the BladeGlider optimises power delivery with reduced stresses at the front of the vehicle.

New Qashqai

The new Qashqai will be unveiled at the Geneva auto show. The Qashqai showcases new features including Nissan Safety Shield (safety systems and protection packages) and the latest NissanConnect system with full smartphone integration.
