Since its introduction in 1992, five-million Jeep Grand Cherokees have been sold. For 2014 it sports a new design, improved safety and plenty of kit as the US automaker readies its premium 4x4 for global release.
The model has an assertive design complete with new bi-xenons, LEDs, new rim designs and a host of interior/exterior colours and was launched in Sicily in the Mediterranean.

The front-end has a more premium and sportier stance without losing its ground clearance. All models have a shorter upper grille, slimmer headlights and lower front while the fog lights have been raised and are more defined.
The rear has larger tail lights with LEDs, a bigger spoiler and tweaked tailgate for improved visibility. Even the alloys have a new look.
LUXURY SUV
The hand-crafted interiors are finished in leather and wood. The model has a new three-spoke steering wheel.
Standard across the range is Jeep's new eight-speed auto.
Inside, Jeep adds its UConnect 21cm touchscreen with satnav as well as a new 17cm configurable display. Top-of-the-range Summit and the high-performance SRT versions have a 19-speaker, 825W Harman Kardon audio system.
Drivers will have access to three all-wheel drive systems (Quadra-Trac II, Quadra-Drive II and SRT-exclusive Quadra-Trac), as well as Jeep’s Quadra-Lift air suspension, Selec-Terrain and Selec-Track traction management systems.
Safety has been improved with the addition of a collision warning and crash Mitigation system.
The 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be introduced across European markets in July and will be available in the Laredo, Limited, Overland, Summit and SRT trim levels.
