The hottest Polo to date kicks out 132 kW
The Polo GTI Cup Edition celebrates the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup. The Polos competing in this racing series are standard Polo GTIs with a power output of 110 kW.

The turbo-charged Polo GTI Cup Edition is more than a match for that - it thrusts out 132 kW from 1.8 litres and a maximum torque of 235 Nm available at 2 000 r/min.

This engine propels the fastest Polo of all time to a maximum speed of 225 km/h and the Cup Edition accelerates from a zero to 100 km/h in only 7.5 seconds.

In terms of styling the Cup Edition also gets a racier look and features a roof spoiler designed by Volkswagen Individual, front and rear skirts taken virtually straight from the ADAC Polo Cup racing car and conspicuous side sills.

Behind the large 7.5 J x 17-inch alloys which have the "Aristo" four-spoke design, there are uprated brakes with red calipers.

  • Unfortunately the Polo GTI Cup Edition is not destined for South African introduction but VWSA is to launch the normal Polo GTI here in August. CLICK HERE for SA pricing of the Polo GTI.
