Nissan at 2012 Paris show

PARIS, France – From its electric SUV concept to its performance-tuned Juke Nismo, Nissan is showcasing its latest models and concepts at the 2012 Paris auto show. 

The Japanese automaker has set its sights on the family vehicle market, electric vehicles as well as building on its successful Qashqai and Micra range.

Below are its headline models at the premier auto show:

TeRRA CONCEPT

Building on its Leaf electric car, Nissan’s next foray into zero emissions mobility sees the Japanese automaker debuting its TeRRA concept.

The rugged four-seater SUV is powered a by hydrogen fuel cell. The TeRRA has no central transmission tunnel and the seating configuration gives passengers a unique view out of the vehicle. The concept sports new materials and portable technology for the driver display and infotainment systems.

JUKE NISMO

The 2012 Paris show see the official launch of the Nismo road-car programme, led by the new Juke Nismo that's powered by a modified 1.6 turbocharged petrol engine. The Nismo-tuned Juke also has a new aerodynamic package and a revised chassis for a more engaging drive experience.

DELTAWING

A fan favourite of the 2012 Le Mans 24 Hours is on French soil again - this time in Paris, as the Japanese automaker showcases its DeltaWing racer, accompanied by creator Ben Bowlby.

The pioneering, dart-shaped DeltaWing, will race again at the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) finale at Road Atlanta, USA, on October 17-20.

JUKE JAMS WITH MINISTRY OF SOUND

In partnership with London-based clubbing and music authority, the Ministry of Sound, Nissan launches a special edition of its Juke crossover. 

The new model has a number of design enhancements and special features.

Available with any engine and transmission in the current range, the Juke Ministry of Sound is finished in either metallic black or white. The model has a Ministry of Sound music pack which includes an Apple iPod touch (with scratch shield case), headphones and a VIP voucher for the Ministry of Sound music store.

QASHQAI 360

The new Qashqai 360, available across Qashqai and Qashqai+2 ranges, can be specified with all engine and drivetrain combinations - including the new 1.6-litre dCi with a CO2 emission rating of 119g/km.

The Qashqai 360 includes a number of design features and is fitted with Nissan's surround-view cameras as standard.

PIVO 3

Making its European debut at the 2012 Paris show is the PIVO 3 carrying a range of new technologies from Nissan.

The zero emissions concept builds on the strengths of its predecessors and adds more kit, such as automated valet parking and a 'robotic agent interface - a system that integrates the vehicle's key technologies into one interface.

PIVO 3 also has the facility to feed stored power back to the local electricity grid. When employed on a larger scale with other EVs, it has the potential to balance electric power demand and supply.

MICRA GOES CHIC

Nissan has partnered with fashion glossy Elle to create a new version of its Micra city car. The Micra ELLE has keyless entry, glass roof, chromed details and is available in two new colours.

The model can also be specified with two engine options - a 1.2 three-cylinder engine or a 1.2 supercharged diesel capable 72kW.

REVISED 370Z COUPE AND ROADSTER

With an updated exterior and interior styling, new colour options and wheel design, the 2013-specification 370Z Coupe and Roadster makes its debut at the show. The new model sports new front bumpers, incorporating diode daytime lights.
