Nissan's premium Infiniti brand will reveal its new G37 coupe at the upcoming New York Auto Show.

The latest generation G37 Coupe uses a larger 3.7 V6 engine with variable lift technology and an advanced four-wheel Active Steer system.

The US premium brand claims its new coupe is able to push out 246 kW and peak torque of 366 Nm, but is expected to offer better fuel consumption and decreased emissions levels to its predecessor's 3.5-litre motor.

G37 is available with an upgraded five-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and adaptive shift control (ASC) that allows for quicker shifts in more spirited driving situations. Alternatively, a revised six-speed manual transmission is also offered.

An independent four-wheel suspension uses lightweight aluminium components. Front suspension is via a double-wishbone configuration while a multi-link arrangement has been used at the rear.

Standard safety systems include Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), ABS, EBS and brake assist. Infiniti's Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) with preview braking that ensures a safe following distance is maintained.
