Fresh from its Frankfurt debut, the Ford Focus ST will be at the 2011 Johannesburg International Motor Show at the Nasrec Expo Centre in October.
Ford's sporty ST badge is being expanded to the Focus range.
The hot hatch, according to Ford, offers a mix of performance and efficiency perfect for modern, urban racers. with its two-litre EcoBoost engine and a six-speed manual gearbox,
The all-aluminium four-cylinder engine delivers up to 184kW and peak torque of 360Nm.
CO2 emissions are said to be 20% less and fuel consumption lower than the previous-generation Focus ST.
The ST will be launched in South Africa in 2012. While Ford previewed a Focus ST estate at the Frankfurt show, it's unlikely this model will be sold in South Africa.
