Bertone plans to celebrate its 100th anniversary in style with a concept for March’s Geneva show that pays tribute to one of its favourite sons.
The famous Italian design house has released preview sketches of its Nuccio Concept, which reveres Nuccio Bertone, the son of Bertone founder Giovanni Bertone who took over from his father after the Second World War.
BERTONE HEYDAY
The Nuccio concept was designed by current Bertone design director Michael Robinson and channels the company’s iconic mid-engined, rear-wheel driven supercar designs from the 1970's.
The latest concept kicks off the latest wave of Bertone designs and - following its debut at the March, 2012 Geneva auto show – will be shown at a number of auto shows across the world, including Beijing 2012 in April.
