The Audi A5 is in for the chop - a cabriolet model is coming too.
Audi's latest model range, the A5, is in for the chop as the German carmaker is to introduce a convertible version of the car.
Apparently a flood of new Audis are to be launched in the next few months, which includes a drop-top A5, as well as the next A4.
At the recent Geneva Motor Show, Audi officials hinted that a convertible version of the A5 is coming. However, Audi won't go the hardtop route with such a model.
Another A5/S5 that is definitely coming is an R version.
Audi is also gearing-up for the launch of its new A4 line-up at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new range will utilise some of the new mechanicals found underneath the A5's skin.
Next year Audi will unveil the Q5, which is a small premium SUV, too.
