Mercedes-Benz has added extra flair to its C180, C200 and diesel C200 CDI sedans, a range launched in 2007, and called it The Style Edition.
The C180 and C200 are powered by a 1.8 turbocharged petrol engine capable of 115kW/250Nm in the former and 135kW/270Nm in the latter. The CDI has a two-litre turbodiesel capable of 100kW/360Nm and has a claimed fuel consumption of 5.3 litres/100km.
Mercedes has added a new aluminium bonnet and the Style Editions have daytime diode lights.
Each tail light appears to be more neatly integrated thanks to a continuous covering lens which also covers a central diode turn indicator.
RESTYLED INTERIOR
The interior of Style Edition models is sportier than the standard cars with a revised fascia and stylish trim. With its stepped extension, the instrument cluster’s panel now accommodates the central display. The instrument cluster has also been given a makeover.
The cluster and a discreet, light-catching contour continue to the front passenger side. The central, trapezoidal air vents and the round vents on the outside are highlighted by galvanised trim.
The large section of trim is an important part of the redesigned fascia. This extends from the centre air vents across the passenger side to the outer air vent and creates a much wider look for the interior. The upper part of the fascia, with its new surface grain, continues into the belt lines of the door panels.
The centre console has matte keys, glossy inserts and a new knurled wheel design.

The Style Edition essentially offers a seven-speed auto for
the price of a manual. Which is quite a deal...
