Limited edition TTS for SA

In celebration of its 500 000th compact sports car, the TT, Audi will launch an exclusive special edition version in South Africa - the TTS Coupe Competition.

With world-wide production limited to only 500 units, South Africa has been allocated just 25, most of which have already been snapped up.

The Audi TTS was discontinued, along with the 3.2 V6 back in 2010, during the automaker's emissions cull of its TT range.

The TTS Coupe competition is available exclusively in either yellow or grey and its exterior highlights include a fixed rear wing, with bars in a matt aluminum finish, and its 18" alloys.

Powering the limited edition is a 2.0 TFSI capable of 200kW/350Nm mated to a six-speed S-tronic and Quattro all-wheel drive.

The 2.0 accelerates the coupe from 0 -100km/h in 5.3 seconds on to an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h. Fuel consumption is rated at 7.7-litres/100km.

The interior benefits from leather and grey highlights. The TTS competition uses leather bands as decorative elements, the edges of which are dyed in yellow. Aluminum badges on the door trims denote the unit number (i.e '1 of 500').

The TTS Coupe Competition is equipped with the following:

• MMI satnav
• Xenons with LED daytime running lights and rear LEDs.
• Quattro all-wheel drive
• Acoustic parking system
• Auto dimming interior mirror with light and rain sensor
• Bluetooth connectivity
