Limited edition Pajero Sport in SA: Enter the Shogun...

Cape Town - Mitsubishi pairs up with 4x4-favourites such as Tough Dog, Stofpad, Opposite Lock, Maps 4 Africa and Front Runner for what it calls the "ultimate over-lander" - the limited edition Pajero Sport Shogun 4x4 auto.

The Shogun special edition equipped with R70 000 off-road accessories at no extra cost to local customers.

It has Yokohama all-terrain tyres, heavy-duty front and rear shock absorbers, custom-fitted underbody protection and rock-sliders (replaces standard running boards). The 4x4 is fitted with an off-road snorkel, custom roof-rack (with spotlight) and detachable tow-hitch.

Inside the leather-clad cabin gains extra rubber cargo protector for camping and adventure gear and a Garmin GPS Nuvi-cam device.

Despite the extras the Shogun’s price remains R514 900 (the official retail price of the standard 2.5 Di-D 4x4 Auto).

High-powered turbo diesel

The Pajero Sport is powered by Mitsubishi’s 2.5 Di-D turbo diesel capable of 131kW/350Nm mated to a five-speed auto, all-wheel drive and rear-differential.

The Super Select 4WD-system offers four driving modes - 2WD, 4WD mode, 4WD mode with lockup and 4WD Low range with lockup.

The new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Shogun will be sold in limited numbers but the first units has already been dispatched to Mitsubishi dealers in South Africa, Swaziland and Namibia.

The Pajero Sport Shogun is sold with a five-year or 90 000km service plan and a three-year or 100 000km manufacturer’s warranty.
