A TRIBUTE TO AN ICON

The model is the fastest 595 yet as well as the “smallest” supercar ever produced, claims the automaker. Only 299 units will be made. Unfortunately it will not be available in SA.

Powering the model is a 132kW/250Nm four-cylinder 16-valve 1.4 T-Jet turbocharged engine mated to an Abarth Competizione gearbox, making the Abarth 595 ‘50th Anniversary’ the most powerful 595 ever produced. The engine enables the hatchback to rocket from 0-100 km/h in less than 7 seconds to a top speed of 225 km/h.

Fuel consumption is rated at 5.4 litres/100km with emissions of 151g/km.

It rides on 17'' grey alloys with red highlights and has 305mm Brembo floating brake discs with four-piston calipers. The automaker also adds its "Record Monza" variable back-pressure "dual mode" exhaust, designed to "improve engine performance and deliver an inspiring sound over 3000rpm."

Inside in sports a contemporary reinterpretation of the 1963 model with historical logos, paintwork, graphics, and sun roof. The red leather sports seats, white inserts and red stitching, combined with the black steering wheel and dashboard, are a modern re-interpretation of those of the original car.

Standard kit includes auto climate control with pollen filter, fog lights, CD/Mp3 radio, Buetooth and USB port, rear parking sensors and torque transfer control device which optimise torque transfer to the wheels enhancing handling.
