SA petrol heads, on your marks… the 2013 Johannesburg International Motor Show (Jims) will open to the public on October 18 but let Wheels24, from new models to the latest concepts, tell you what’s in store!

2013 Toyota Corolla at Jims
One of the stars at the 2013 Jozi motor show Toyota stand is the new Corolla. Check out the new model!
GWM at Jims: First sedans, SUVs for SA
Chinese automaker GWM has announced a new model assault on South Africa as its H6 SUV, C30 and C50 sedans will arrive locally in 2014. What’s more, the automaker’s new crossover is headed for our shores – the M4. Also on display is its latest Steed 5 line-up.
VW at Jims: 100km/l Cross Coupe
Meet the Cross Coupe concept... No wait, it's the Mk.II and uses even less fuel than its predecessor - 1.8 litres/100km but rocket to 220km/h. See it at Jims...

Volkswagen
Volkswagen launched 18-model line-up for the 2013 Johannesburg Motor Show. Check out VW’s stars - Golf BlueMotion, iBeetle, Scirocco GTS and Amarok Edition concept!
Lexus and Toyota:
Toyota will display 18 cars at Jims, among them its 86, Aygo, FJ Cruiser and RAV4. Lexus said its FT-86 Open Concept, which premiered at the 2013 Geneva auto show, will be seen in African for the first time.
Infiniti:
Infiniti is celebrating its second year in South Africa with a new model at Jims. Reflecting its involvement with the Red Bull Formula 1 team, the Infiniti FX Vettel Edition will also be on display.
General Motors
Chevrolet, Opel and Isuzu... General Motors South Africa showed off its latest models at the 2013 Jozi motor show. Chevrolet will wow fans of its Sonic hatchback as it launches a performance version at Jims - the 103kW Sonic RS!
TOPLESS TURBO PORSCHES
Opel has had a very busy 2013 so far, having launched six new and updated products in the first nine months of the year, among them the Astra sedan, Meriva 1.4 Turbo MPV, Corsa OPC Nürburgring Edition, Corsa 1.4 Turbo Enjoy, and the Astra OPC.
BMW:
BMW will showcase its new 5 Series (launched in October 2013) and 4 Series coupe to be launched in South Africa in November. Also on show will be the SA-bound electric i8 and i3.
MG:
MG will debut its SA-bound MG3 which, according to the automaker, hs “compact styling, LEDs and four models, each of which has have sporty looks and a 1.5 engine.”
Danny K, turbo Koup to rock Jims
Kia will expand its Cerato range with a hatchback and a turbo-charged Koup at Jims, backed by brand ambassadors Danny K and Kabelo Mabalane.
Topless turbo Porsches for SA
Porsche has given Wheels24 a sneak peek at what will be the latest additions to its local cabrio line-up, the 911 Turbo and S Cabriolet.
LE MANS AND F1 CARS
MOTORSPORT
Motorsport enthusiasts will be treated to Toyota’s TS030 Hybrid Le Mans car and Mercedes-Benz AMG's Formula 1 car has been flown in from the team's HQ in England.
Race like Vettel at Jims
If you want to become a Formula 1 driver, Jims is offering the closest thing you’ll probably get with a super-fancy F1 simulator.
The Johannesburg International Motor Show will open to the public on Friday October 18 and run until October 27.
