Kia might be one of the household names for producing cheap, frugal cars but with the Stinger GT it hopes to change perceptions. Here's what makes it so special.
When the Stinger was first introduced into the local market in the middle of 2018, it was met with lots of positive reviews but many also doubted whether the Korean sports car could hold its own against German rivals such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
The good stuff
The numbers behind the car is enough to make anyone sit up and take notice; its 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine gives you a maximum power output of 272kW and 510Nm with a claimed top speed of 270km/h.

I've had the opportunity to drive this R860 000 car and it is nothing short of marvellous. You feel right at home from the full leather interior while its eye-catching design draws plenty of attention wherever it goes.
