Electric cars are in demand, and that means longer lead times for prospective owners. 

In Europe, EVs and infrastructure to support them is booming. Production however hasn't kept up with demand.

Here are the waiting periods expected for electric cars on sale in Europe.

Nissan leaf - 12 weeks

Kia e-Niro - 12 months

Audi e tron - Minimal 3 months
