From Jaguar's first electric SUV, the I-Pace, to BMW's next-generation 3 Series... 2019 has seen many incredible vehicles arrive in South Africa.

There are also many amazing vehicles still on the to Mzansi such as the Volkswagen's 'Polo SUV, the T-Cross, and the updated Ford Mustang.

Say hello to the plush, rapid and (almost) silent Jaguar I-Pace. I’ve been driving the brand new electric ?? vehicle (EV) in Joburg and my goodness is it a helluva experience. 294kW and 696Nm from a battery and two electric motors on each axle translate into a 4.8 second 0-100km/h time. It can seat five adults with ease and has a giant boot. Price? An eye-watering R1.6-million for the SE model. ??

March sees the new G20 3 Series roll into ???? offering a more tech than ever before. The 330i is bloody rapid and the 320d has fat dollop of torque low down to power one out of corners with enthusiasm. And talking about enthusiasm, the new 3 still manages to thrill in dynamic terms. For those of you who know me, you’ll know I’ve had a love affair with the Audi RS 4 for the best part of 10 years. I recently drove the latest version, that I saw unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt motor show. For 2019, it doesn’t have a V8 engine like the previous two iterations. But it’s still damn fast.
