 • 4.0 TFSI capable of 412kW/700Nm
 • A 4% reduction in CO2 emissions to 221g/km
 • Fuel consumption improved by 3%
 • Part of revised A7 range

BERLIN, Germany - Earlier in February 2014 Wheels24 reported on Audi’s potent RS7 Sportback, the most powerful five-door coupe in the automaker’s range, arriving in South Africa.

Mere months after its local arrival, Audi has announced a revised version of its potent RS7 as part of the automaker's refreshed A7 range, scheduled to arrive in SA early in 2015.

The revised RS7 Sportback receives subtle styling enhancements, upgraded infotainment and revisions to its V8 TFSI engine to comply with new EU6 emissions.

At the front, modifications have been made to the bumper, grille and air inlets. The headlights, adapted to the new single-frame grille, now sport LEDs. Matrix LED technology is available for the first time on the RS7 Sportback, with integrated indicators.

The taillights have been revised and it’s available in new colours.

INSIDE

Inside, designers have made judicious changes to the instrument cluster, including the air outlet controls, shift paddles and the quattro emblem on the instrument panel. The standard MMI navigation plus, with MMI touch, now uses the modular infotainment platform of the current generation including a graphics processor from Audi partner, Nvidia.

POWER

The EU6-compliant 4.0 TFSI engine in the revised Audi RS7 Sportback, mated to a eight-speed tiptronic, provides the same prodigious 412kW/700Nm. The engine rockets the five-door coupe to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds to a top speed of 250km/h (305km/h with the optional dynamics package).

Fuel consumption is rated at 9.6-litres/100km with emissions of 221g/km.

The might of its V8 engine is harnessed by quattro permanent all-wheel drive and standard Sports differential. The RS7 Sportsback is equipped with RS adaptive air suspension and adaptive damping, controlled via Audi drive select.

The revised Audi RS 7 Sportback is fitted with 20” forged lightweight alloys though optional 21” aluminium alloys are available in three different colours.
