Chrysler Group will unveil a new version of the Dodge Dart at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next week, one with more power.
The 2013 Dart GT will feature a 137kW, 2.4-litre Tigershark engine mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed PowerTech automatic transmission, a sport-tuned suspension with frequency-sensing shock-absorbers and a host of premium touches inside and out, including perforated Nappa leather seats and 18" aluminium rims for a starting US price equivalent to about R180 250.

The GT has a unique performance enhancing nose with black accents and a black grille; black projector headlight housings; body-colour door releases; heatable steering wheel and front seats; dual-zone auto aircon; a universal garage-door opener and GT badge.
The new version of the Dart will also have some unique styling touches - among them an dual exhaust and diode tail lights.
It will join a line-up that already includes the Dart SE, SXT, Rallye, Aero and Limited models.
