Cheaper Audi TT now in SA

CAPE TOWN - Audi's TT remains a design icon since its introduction in South Africa in 2000. The second generation was launched in 2006 and named the “World Design Car of the Year” in 2007.

Four years to date and the model still impresses with its sleek lines and impressive performance. In 2013 the TT coupe becomes more attainable with the launch of a new entry-level engine.
 
The 1.8T FSI engine is capable of 118kW/250Nm and can be mated to either a six-speed manual or S tronic but will only be available in Coupé body style.

LIGHTWEIGHT COUPE

According Audi, the model can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 7.5 seconds to a top speed of 224km/h. Combined fuel consumption is rated at 6.4 litres/100km with CO2 emissions of 149 g/km.

The TT 1.8 TFSI weighs a 1240kg and the body of the Coupé comes in at 206kg - 140kg aluminium (68%) and 66 kg of steel (32%).

Standard kit includes bluetooth, multi-function steering wheel, Xenon headlights with LEDs and 17" alloy rims. The grille is now finished in black with re-styled singe frame design.
