Caddy Maxi for the whole crew

VW has added a Maxi Crew Bus variant to its Caddy range utility vehicle range – and it can accommodate quite a few sets of golf clubs.

Sporting a loadbay just 5mm shy of a 1m in length (with the floor trimmed in non-slip Dilour rubber matting) Caddy is able to carry a payload of 672kg.

If you need additional load volume the rear seats can be folded to render 3 950l of capacity. Side access to the Caddy Maxi Crew Bus is seamless thanks to a sliding door arrangement.

Powered by a 77kW version of VW’s 1.9 TDI engine, Maxi Crew Bus should return consumption of around 6.2l/100km.

With peak rotational force of 250Nm on tap overtaking and general low-speed driving dynamics, even with a full load, should be swift enough.

Unfortunately VW's ABS actuated front-differential lock is still not an option, which is something which can help a fully loaded Caddy quite a bit when attempting to reverse out of tight spot up a severe incline...

Caddy Maxi Crew Bus safety features include driver and front passenger airbags, three-point seatbelts in the front and rear, child lock on the sliding doors, ABS, Traction Control System (TCS) and anchorage for Isofix child seat system on the three-seater bench seat.

The Caddy Maxi Crew Bus comes with standard a two-year/unlimited warranty and the service interval is 15 000km.
