Bold SRX beefs up Caddie range

What is described as a luxury SUV with genuine all-round capabilities, the stylish SRX provides seating for up to seven.

Seats are covered in full leather trim and both front occupants have power adjustable seats with memory functions. When not in use, the rearmost seats can be stowed beneath the luggage area with a push of a button.

Other comfort features include dual-zone climate control, power windows, heated power mirrors, and a power operated tailgate. Park assist at the rear helps for trickier parking manoeuvres.

A full complement of airbags are included in the cabin and all five seats get three-point seatbelts.

The SRX will be equipped with a 3.6 litre V6 producing 190 kW at 6 500 r/min and 342 Nm at 2 800 r/min. Drive to all four wheels is provided by an five-speed automatic transmission.

Electronic driver aids include ABS, traction control and Cadillac's Stabilitrak stability programme.
