CAPE TOWN - Volkswagen adds more style to its CrossPolo with the addition of an optional style kit - the Urban Ice package.
The kit is offered in Oryx White pearlescent paint, which was previously only available on the new Beetle.

The new paint job blends well with the Urban Ice extras which includes black roof rails, tinted rear windows, black-painted side mirrors and 17" alloy wheels.

The interior benefits from a silver-painted centre console, black roof liner, Alcantara/Meteor sport seats with heating function, and grey stitching for the carpets and the hand brake cover.

The Urban Ice package costs an extra R9 800.

Volkswagen CrossPolo prices (excluding Urban Ice package):
CrossPolo 1.6 77kW - R214 200
CrossPolo 1.6 TDI 77kW- R238 500

The Cross Polo is already a normal Polo with a different style kit costing R15000 more, why add more ‘bling kit’ for an additional R9800? I never saw the use for a CrossPolo. It might have a little bit more ground clearance, but those 17” rims with lower profiled tires makes it worse off tar than a standard Polo.

PoloCross....Renault Stepway, like every other "offroad" inspired passanger car...USELESS...these cars are build for the look and have ZERO extra ability off tar in fact, like the PoloCross, they fair even WORSE off tar due to the tyre/rim choices so it's an image thing...we build them and believe me...it's all about styling.

    Doesn't makes sense at all...

This car has become expensive. To our blogging "experts", drop some knowledge on me, how is it so?

Sabelo, it’s because people are more interested in what a car LOOKS like it COULD do, rather than what it ACTUALLY CAN do. Manufacturers are all too happy to get an extra R15000 from you, by not really doing anything more at all. My 5c………

The Cross Polo should at least have your 97 kw TDI engine found in the old TDI Sportline models. This engine should of been in the very first Cross Polo - if you want to sell a 'all terrain like look' vehicle, then at least equip it with a decent and powerful TDI engine used in previous cheaper Polo models with the 6 speed gearbox.

      I won't call you a liar for 1kW ;) - it was 96kW :)
