Powerful performance, subtle understatement, luxurious equipment and considerable practicality - Audi's descriptions of its S performance models, and a whack of them are on the way to South Africa.
Each will have full-time all-wheel drive which, Audi says, promises "a unique driving experience" as well as "ultimate everyday usability".
The automaker's target is, by the end of 2014, to be able to offer an S model in most of its model ranges - a total of 13 - and first to arrive will be the S3 Sportback and the SQ5. We have prices and details
Also available (to order) will be the S3 Sedan, expected in May 2014, to complete the A3 Sedan range.
S8 - THEN THE S1
In the second quarter of the year will arrive the 200kW Audi TTS Special Edition - but only 25 out of the 500 to be assembled and only in yellow or grey with an Impulse leather package decorating the interior in grey leather with yellow stitching.
"Launching soon after that," Audi says, "will be the Audi S8, followed by the potent Audi S1 in the second half of 2014 year. Last to come will be the S3 Cabriolet - added to the drop-top family for the first time."
