The new Peugeot 206 Popart 1.4 three-door and five-door models will slot in at the most affordable side of the 206 scale, and bring the total number of 206 derivatives available to the South African motoring public to 12.
The Popart is driven by the same economical 1.4-litre engine previously used in the 1.4 X-Line, while the upgraded X-Line now boasts a 1.4-litre unit with 16 valves.
As part of the safety package the Popart has two airbags at the front as well as ABS brakes.It also comes with airconditioning and a CD player.
The Popart's new interior design is a combination of blue and black trim, while a "Popart" badge on the tailgate will distinguish it from the rest.
The 206 Popart 1.4 three-door will retail for R109 900, and the five-door for R115 900. It has a three-year/100 000km warranty and service intvals are at 30 000km.
