MARANELLO, Italy - The Ferrari F12 GTO has been caught on camera. Chances are this higher-performance F12 will make its public debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in mid-September.

The car's more assertive design hints to the beefier F12 Berlinetta expected to be called Speciale or GTO.

6.3 LITRE V12/566KW

Likely a pre-production unit, it comes with carbon-fibre applications on the front fenders and side skirts while the rear fenders have triple vents to cool down the upgraded 6.3-litre V12 engine which is believed to get an extra 22kW for a massive 566kW output.

The rear of the car hosts a new bumper and there's also a more prominent rear spoiler lip while the shape of the rear window is more linear now.

Aside from receiving a new look and more power, the bulkier Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is expected to shave off as much as 200kg but that figure could drop significantly when the car goes into production.

Performance figures should be stellar as combining more power with less weight will enable a 0-100km/h sprint in less than 3 seconds.
