WATCH: 'Oh no, he's been hit by a turtle shell!' - Here's what Mario Kart would look like in real life

The iconic Super Mario game turned 26 in August 2018 to celebrate the occasion, organisers of the Formula E race series did something really cool - simulating what a Super Mario Kart video game would look like in real life.

If only it was real

Leaving banana skins on track and throwing flying turtle shells at other drivers are just some of the antics that make the game enjoyable to play.
