The 25th edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed gets underway on Thursday (July 12) in the United Kingdom and here are five things to expect from the speed showcase.

Cars from all eras, in different shapes and sizes, will roll up to the start line all in the name of racing in the four-day event.

Past and present

The car line up is pretty spectacular which includes the debut of the new Toyota Supra, the VW ID R that recently smashed the Pikes Peak record as well as autonomous race attempts.

While the cars are the stars of the show, motoring greats and celebrities like Jenson Button and Patrick Dempsey is expected to be in attendance as well.

With so many fast and classical cars on show, it is no wonder this is one of the biggest highlights of the motoring calendar.
