is a new classic car series by Chubb Insurance. In this session, the firm says Derek Bell gives a fascinating insight into winning one of the toughest racing events in the world five times but reveals his most special race at Le Mans was completed with his son: "To drive with your son, and finish third on Father's Day, and be on the winner's rostrum, it was absolutely unbelievable, and it still is today."
"Le Mans is the epitome of motorsport events or at least one of it, so there are always race stars and celebrities to rub shoulders with. Two other such people were Patrick Dempsey aka 'McDreamy', and former F1 driver, Mark Webber. Who wouldn't want a photo taken with Patrick Dempsey? I was the envy of my female friends that day. I was more star-struck with Webber. But then, Derek Bell walked into the hospitality area, and I just lost my mind.

Someone once said he is the most-liked racer of his generation, and I could see why. Bell has got to be one of the nicest, and most humble people I have ever met. And, flipping cool for a man of his stature. What an honour it was to spend a few minutes with him and share a few laughs.
Bell needs no introduction, but if you don't know who he is, he is a motorsport legend in his own right. Bell has won the Le Mans five times, Daytona24 three times, and won the World Sportscar Championship twice. He has also raced in Formula 1 for several teams, including Ferrari.
In the podcast, he chats to Jodie Kidd in The Chubb Interviews about his days racing for Ferrari, and his friendship with the late, incredible Steve McQueen.
He also chats about spending time with Enzo Ferrari himself and says: "It was more difficult to get to see Enzo than it was the Pope".
Bell also talks about his relationship with Hollywood icon, Steve McQueen: "Steve wanted to drive. The only reason he did the film [Le Mans] is so he could drive a racing car!"

I include the following photo just for the heck of it, and for all the fans of Patrick Dempsey - known mostly for his role as Derek Shepard in Grey's Anatomy. However, Dempsey is quite involved in motorsport, owns a few racing teams, and even participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Daytona 24. He is an avid car collector too.
