JYVASKYLA, Finland - Belgium's Thierry Neuville and his Ford Fiesta led the opening day of the 2013 Rally of Finland on Thursday (August 1), edging championship leader Sebastien Ogier into second spot.
The 25-year-old Neuville had a 2.5sec lead over Ogier's VW Polo.
Neuville and Ogier won two stages each; Finland's Jari-Matti Latvala, in a second factory Polo, stopped for the day when his car was damaged by a rock.
He will resume on Friday with a 10-minute penalty.
