Nascar racing couple Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse got a little too close on the track at the Coco-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, North Corolina, USA.
It wasn’t a loving encounter however as a shunt led to a massive crash during the race. Stenhouse nudged Patrick's racer, forcing her to collide with Brad Keselowski who crashed into the barriers.
Keselowski retired after 317 laps while Patrick and Stenhouse were able to continue. Patrick finished in 29th place.
'I FEEL BAD FOR HER'
Although all fingers point at Stenhouse, according to the LA times, Keselowski took the blame for accident: “I was three wide with Danica and didn’t know it and I cut her off and wrecked her and myself. I feel bad for her and I send my apologies to her."
Kevin Harvick took home first prize, Kasey Kahne finished second followed by Kurt Busch.
Stenhouse most probably earned himself a lengthy period of the dreaded "silent treatment" from Patrick.
