Get Wheels24 on your iPhone

News24 has launched a downloadable application for iPhone users to view and share breaking news, motoring news, financial headlines, sports updates and entertainment snippets.

It is the first and most comprehensive application of its kind among digital news sources in South Africa. Available as a free download from the Apple iTunes store, the application includes e-mail and feedback features to share content with facebook, Digg, muti, del.ici.ous and Twitter users.

The new News24 iPhone application also includes a restaurant look-up feature on Google Maps and Picture the News, a feature with the day's top news stories told with extraordinary images and small, easily digested articles.

"News24 iPhone application is ideal for on-the-go South Africans looking for simple and quick ways to remain up-to-date on news, sports and the markets," says Geoff Cohen, GM of News24.

Featuring content from News24, Channel24, Sport24, Fin24 and Wheels24, the application also allows user to send in their own news tips and photos.

"As a publishing channel, mobile is very high on our agenda," adds Cohen.

"Addressing what we see as a gap in quality content, community and conversation for mobile phone users, the News24 iPhone application is a step in the right direction. As the prevalence and use of smartphones increases in South and Southern Africa, consumers can look forward to more mobile utilities and services from across the 24.com family of brands."

Simply search for News24 in the iTunes store to download it to your iPhone.
