Cape Town - High-profile drivers, stunning locations... Formula 1 is one of the world's most glamorous motorsports but do you know just how lucrative the sport can be?

F1 Salaries 

F1 drivers can earn staggering salaries with Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso ranked as the highest earners in motorsport, according to Forbes.

In 2017, Hamilton raked in a total of $46-million to become the 10th richest athlete in the world.

Ferrari's Vettel earned $38.6 million, while veteran Fernando Alonso amassed $36 million in total.
